DeTao Master Professor Mathis Heller Invited to German Consulate

(Shanghai, Jan. 13) At the invitation of Ms. Gudrun Lingner, Consul of Science and Culture at the German General Consulate in Shanghai, the DeTao Master of Automotive & Industrial Design & Sustainable Urban Concepts Professor Mathis Heller visited the new office and official residence of the German consulate in Shanghai's Jing'an District on January 13, 2014.


The German Consul General in Shanghai Dr. Wolfgang Röhr welcomed Professor Heller to his residence and provided a tour of the historic Spanish architecture. Its exterior was elegantly decorated in a Moorish style, while the interior was accentuated by the exquisite stained-glass windows and majestic staircase.

Following the visit, discussions were held in which Professor Heller offered a brief introduction of the history and vision of his DeTao studio with regards to both training and design projects. Ms. Lingner promised the full support of the consulate for the development of his studio in China, facilitating communication between the studio, schools and businesses. She also revealed that the consulate would sponsor regular gatherings to promote cultural exchange between China and Germany and would be honored to invite Professor Heller and other DeTao masters to such future events.
