Master Studio

The Master Studio of Roy Ascott is located on the 8th floor of the Detao building in SIVA, Shanghai, and consists of the office of the Master and the course lecturers’, as well as meeting and conference areas. In this space, seminars or presentations will take place either from visiting professors or from other Masters of Detao, and also it can be used for having personal and independent tutorials with the students.


Teaching Studio

The teaching studio of the course Technoetic Arts is located on the 12th floor of the Detao building in SIVA, Shanghai, and is the place where most of the teaching and creative practices of the students take place. The room is equipped with the following equipment so far:

Field Trips

During the course students are invited to field trips as part of their learning experience. These trips may include visits to museums, cultural places of interest, conferences, exhibitions, and so on. We provoke and invite students to new experiences that will allow them to comprehend better a range of cultural industries, the city, and themselves as well.

Visiting Professors

A wide network of artists, designers, scientists, and academics is invited by the Technoetic Arts team to give workshops, seminars, and presentations during the course dates in the Detao Studio of Roy Ascott in Shanghai. These collaborations to the teaching and learning experience of the course are valuable and synergies developed during these initiatives contribute positively to the noetic and intellectual development of students and lecturers.
