Chieli Minucci is the leader of the Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz group, Chieli Minucci & Special EFX, which formed in 1982.Also known as a composer for television and film, Minucci was nominated for 10 Daytime Emmy Awards and has won three, in 1998, 2007, and most recently in 2008, for his eclectic compositional work in the USA, on CBS’s "The Guiding Light", which holds the record as the longest running TV show in American history. He has written music for well-known programs such as Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Good Morning America (theme), Bloomberg Radio (theme), Access Hollywood, and others. He also contributed music to the soundtracks of "No Country for Old Men" (2007), as well as most recently to ‘Lifted’ (2007).

Started with the melody of “What a Wonderful World”, Prof. Minucci reviewed the beginning of his musical career and expended on. He was born in a musician family, 6 year old, he started to play piano as his first instrument, and later he fell in love of guitar and became crazy about it. When he was 20, he met a percussionist from Europe and founded a band called “Special Effect”. Their work span vast range, the first album was the result of the integration of many musical styles.Prof. Minucci believed as an artist one should both play classic pieces and familiar with modern music synthesis technology. With existed technology we can maximize the power of imagination, and organize feelings from heart through playing instrument and computer development, which is very important to music creation.
