As the pathfinder of China’s musical Prof. Li take the theme of “think deeply, fully care humanity”, from his musical “Butterfly”, “Fall in love with Teresa Teng”, “Game of Trump” and in particular “Mother love me once again” as actual example to elaborate how musical leads the fad of urban cultural aesthetics. From the selection of story and actor, and talking how diligent his actors and actresses worked, Prof. Li pointed out that today’s musical should closely connect to daily life. From the external space set of this musical, we can see how urgent that China need to foster its own urban culture, and most typically musical, therefore, to tell their familiar story like “the relationship and emotion between mother and son”. This kind of values will be demonstrated by musical in a most direct and efficient way. As the mother of the lyric composer remarked “my son when he was in Xiaoqiang’s age was even more rebellious, however, when I saw his work, I took it as the best gift ever from my son”.
