Roger S. Christiansen is a director with extensive experience in multi-camera and single camera sitcom productions. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America. Roger’s affable manner and knack for working and communicating with actors of all ages has garnered him the distinction of directing many successful series and afforded him the privilege of working with actors like Jeniffer Aniston, Miley Cyrus, Miranda Cosgrove, Brooke Shields, Christina Applegate, Courteney Cox, Eric Idle, Vicki Lawrence, Dolly Parton, Kiki Palmer, Larry David, Donny Osmond and Ray Romano. Roger S. Christiansen has had the honor and the privilege to direct on two very popular shows, Friends and Hannah Montana. Over the years, Roger has established himself as a leading Tween Comedy director with Hannah Montana, iCarly, Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, True Jackson VP and Corey In The House. His recent works include Haunted Hathaway, Journey to the East, etc. With his ability to attend to the demand for tight production schedules, Roger’s directing credits also include episodes of Friends, Girlfriends, Suddenly Susan and For Your Love. Roger received an Emmy award for his contribution on Friends and an Outstanding Director nomination from BET for Girl friends.

Prof. Christiansen shared with students many experiences and scenarios during the procedure of directing “Friends” include backstage titbits brings direct understanding to audiences. Comparing with the same type of sitcoms he made specific elaboration in term of time, technology and site arrangement. According his introduction the costs of different sitcoms various from actors, technology and other aspects are different. He also share with audiences about the anecdote about 6 protagonists, and discussed directing experience and approaches and how to collaborate with actors and writers through analysis of “Friends”.
